Member of the Month - July 2010 - Sophia Juarbe

Rough Cut Member of the month
Sophia Juarbe
By Matthew J. Jimenez

This month Rough Cut would like to recognize Sophia Juarbe for all her contributions, participation and support. Thank you Sophia.

"I herd about Sophia before I met her, as I was in need of an FX make-up person and Ben Hammond recommended her. Sophia displayed her skills and professionalism from day one, and over the last few months she has always been reliable, providing my production with an added sense of stability. She deserves this honor because Sophia has worked hard to coordinate, promote, and document the last few Rough Cut events. I would recommend Sophia to any filmmaker who is looking for an intelligent, hard working, and dependable person to round out his or her set. Congratulations on receiving the 'Member of the Month' title, and I look forward to working with you in the future."

"I met Sophia in my first class at Ai. I got to know her along the way. In my first film class, I needed an actress so I asked Sophia if she could do it, even though she wasn't in the class. She took time out of her busy schedule to come out and help me film. This is just one of many examples of Sophia's dedication and compassion for helping other students. Thank you Sophia I hope to keep working with you."
